Rearranged the living room last night:
I don't have any "before" photos, but to give you an idea, neither of those shelves were there (on either side of the tv). The plants were on the floor and didn't get much light. I think they'll be much happier where they are now.

I have the same Expedit Bookcase except I place it on the long side and use it as a sofa table.
Also I have two of the Lack Coffeetables and place them side by side to create one bigger table.
