i'm a pirate.

On our Pittsburgh trip, Kathey decided to make me a pirate with her shiny new iPhone. I'm so jealous.

our new town

We moved into our Columbus, OH apartment last Thursday. We weren't sure whether we would like it that much, but we are really starting to love it. We made a trip to Pittsburgh, PA on Saturday with some of Ryan's coworkers to go to the nearest Ikea. We picked up some nice furniture that we had been saving up for and we're really happy with it. Ikea is so great. We can't wait to go back.

We haven't done a lot of exploring yet, but so far we like Columbus. There's a lot to do and it's not too far to get to other major cities. We're pretty sure we'll like it here.

Found an Apartment

We found an apartment and will be moving on the 19th or 20th. I've started packing some stuff, we've sold some furniture on craigslist, so we should have a little less work. We're going to hire a couple guys to help us load our moving truck. I found a coupon code to use for the truck rental that will save some money. So far, so good.

The apartment that we found isn't exactly what we were looking for, we're calling it our "temporary" apartment. It's not bad though. It's cheap and in a good location. Only 10 minutes from Ryan's work, maybe 3 or 4 miles, so it's not a bad commute. We were running out of time, so we had to do something quick. We found this place by accident and were lucky that they had anything available. If we don't like it, we can get out of it pretty easily after 6 months.
